One of the sweetest & best gifts I’ve gotten our toddler is a board book full of the names and pictures of some of our closest loved ones.
I first came across it on Insta when I saw a mom using it with her toddler, and I’m so glad I did because it’s been such a fun gift to use with our little guy. We gave it to him as a Christmas gift, and since then he’s looked at it a ton.
The board book comes in 20, 30, or 40 pages, and you can choose any of their four themes: people, places, thankful, or custom.
We went with the 20-page book using the ‘people’ theme so that we could teach our son the names of some family members.
Our book has an intro page with a little dedication to our son, then the rest of the book is a picture of a family member alongside their name on the corresponding page. In our little 20-page book, we managed to fit my husband and I, both sets of grandparents, and both our siblings and their families.
It’s made by Artifact Uprising, and I have to say it’s super well made! The pages are really durable, and the cover and back are still in really good condition even though we’ve had it for months and our toddler is rough with his books. 😉
Most days, I try to flip through it with my son while I repeat people’s names so he can connect them to their faces (especially far away family that he doesn’t see regularly) … but my favorite thing is when I catch him flipping through it on his own. Here’s a picture from the last time I caught him:
I think this would be such a sweet gift for any baby or toddler. You could start using it early on with a baby to help familiarize them with names and faces, or with a toddler to practice saying people’s names. Either way, I think most kiddos would love this and would likely enjoy it for quite a while.
The process to make the book is super easy through Artifact Uprising’s website. All I did was upload the pictures I wanted to use, changed background colors to colors I liked best, added in names, and that’s it!
Oh – one tip. On the cover, the default font color for the title is black – so you’ll want to make sure your font color and background photo colors aren’t too close if you care about the title being easily seen. Not sure how I missed it, but our background photo had some trees in it, so it’s kind of hard to see our book title… so just wanted to mention that so you don’t make the same mistake. 😉

This little book has become part of my daily ritual with my son and one of my favorite gifts we’ve gotten him. If you decide to get one, hope you like it too!
